Brown leather cover, with 4 raised bands on spine, all page edges gold gilt, gold-tone metal frame on front and back cover, gold-tone metal clasp featuring a fleur-de-lis. 804 pages. 

Alfred Mame was a prominent figure of Catholic liturgical publishing in 19th-century Europe. Based in Tours, his factory combined an ink-making facility, a printing press, and a luxury bookbindery under one roof.

Condition: Shows signs of preservation work to front hinge and endpapers, tear to front and back endpapers, writing on back page, some loosened pages. Overall condition is good.
