Pocket-sized prayer book. Because full liturgical books containing all the masses, vespers, and readings for the entire year were too thick to carry comfortably, publishers frequently split the year into individual seasonal volumes. This is the Summer volume. The autumn volume can be purchased separately.
The cover is olive-toned leather with decorative LM initials embossed in the top-left corner of the front cover. It has 5 raised bands on the spine, all pages are gold-gilt with a hidden marbled paisley fore-edge painting in shades of red, yellow, and blue/green.The interior features gold dentelle border details on the interior front and back cover boards, a frontispiece depicting Saint Matthieu, and metallic green and gold endpapers. French language, 595 pages.
