Bound in brown leather, an ornate silver-tone double metal clasp closure with intricate leaves, fleurons, and linework across the anchor plates; all page edges are gold gilt; gold dentelle work around the turn-ins; red and gold metallic silk endpapers; hidden marbled fore-edge painting; decorative borders around all content pages; and illustrations throughout.

Condition: Marks to covers and spine; wear to the top and bottom of the spine and the raised bands; corners rubbed; some exterior wear to the hinges; interior is very clean with minimal foxing. Good condition.
