Brown leather cover embossed with ermine print, 5 raised bands on spine, all page edges gold-gilt with gauffered contrasting red painted ermine on pattern, gold-toned metal Maltese cross double clasp closures, metallic gold endpapers, turn-ins decorated with intricate gold dentelle tooled border on front and back cover, gold floral dentelle inside, golden endpages, three vibrant chromolithographs by Hangard-Mauge and two engravings.
