Dark green, almost black leather cover with simple linework border and an imprinted F.C. initial on the front and the date Mai 15, 1851 on the back cover, all page edges gold gilt, large gold-toned metal cross clasp closure, frontispiece engraving titled 'La Vierge au livre,' which translates to 'The Virgin with the Book.' 

French Language, 458 pages.

Condition: Some marks on spine and covers, some discoloration on endpapers (likely due to aging glue), some foxing and discoloration to pages. Very good to good condition.
