Paroissien Latin-Français (Latin-French Parishioner). Published by P.-L. Tanquerey, Coutances, France. Published 1846. Latin and French Language.

A luxurious scarlet/burgundy red Romantic-era silk velvet (it can have an orangey tone depending on the light) binding, bright gold-tone corner caps and metal clasp with intricate line work detailing, gold-tone metal title plate and decorative pieces on spine, all page edges gold-gilt, ivory textured endpapers, vibrant chromolithograph frontispiece, and original protective cardboard casing box.

103 mm W x 158 mm H. 836 pages.

Condition: Velvet bindings of this age tend to show wear at the spine hinges and significant discoloration; this binding is one of the finest I've seen for its age.

Some marks and spots make the velvet lighter than other areas, but overall the cover is in very good to excellent shape; the interior is clean, and the metalwork is in good order. Overall, excellent to near-pristine condition thanks to being stored in its original protective case.
