It's a pocket-sized red leather liturgical manual that was typically carried by a lay Catholic to church services. This copy reflects the traditional Roman Rite liturgy used throughout France in the late 19th century and contains parallel text (usually Latin on one side and French on the other) so the parishioner could actively follow the priest's actions and prayers during weekly and seasonal services.

Bound in red leather with gold decorative borderwork on the covers and spine, gold-tone metal clasp closure with intricate attachment plates, illustrated frontispiece. It will come with its original protective cardboard case. 

75 mm W x 109 mm H. 336 pages.

Condition: Some faint discoloration to covers and spine, corners slightly bent, back endpaper is stuck to back board, some fading to gilded page edges. Good condition.l
