Paroissien Romain printed by Ernest Cornillac, Châtillon-sur-Seine, France. Publication c. 1854–1855 (Text carries the 1854 ecclesiastical approbation; features a 20-year movable feast liturgical calendar spanning 1868–1888).
A pocket-sized prayer book featuring black cover boards and a rich purple velvet spine. The front cover board features a silver-toned decorative cross with an inner design comprised of iridescent mother-of-pearl dots. The back cover board features a simple silver-tone shield, and the purple spine includes a silver-tone metal 'Paroissien'.
All page edges are gold-gilt, and the book includes a patinaed metal clasp, two engravings by Cornillac, and an inscription on the front and back covers.
Latin and French Language, 576 pages.

Condition: Some light marks to cover boards, some wear to front spine hinge, patina to metal clasp, some very minimal foxing. Very good condition.
