Book with Me: The Dublin Rare Book Fair 2026

For the first time in three years, the Dublin Rare Book Fair has returned to the city. 

The book fair brings together 20 book dealers from across Ireland and the UK and is an absolute dream for book lovers, antiquarian collectors, and dark academia appreciators.

I popped over on opening day to get a look at all of the treasures. 

Books for Every Collector

Prices span €10 to over €10,000, and there were loads of unique finds to appreciate. I saw books spanning topics from Irish folklore and ghost stories to history, astronomy, plant lore, art, architecture, religion, and more.

Some of the highlights for me included copies of Flora of the East Indies, a collection of Celtic Fairy Tales, a gorgeous edition of Pride and Prejudice, and lots of Irish interest.

What I Bought

I ended up buying three books and am very, very happy. It's not often you come across a velvet prayer book with gauffered edges and a cross clasp that was owned by a baroness in the 1800s.

I also snagged two prize bindings on astronomy and the history of the bible that feature some great inscriptions, vibrant marbled page edges, and lots of intricate leather tooling. 

Event Details

The 2026 Dubin Rare Book Fair is taking place at Flux Studios, just steps away from Grafton Street in the city center. It runs today until 6 pm, then returns tomorrow, Saturday, June 13, from 11-5 pm. 

Admission to the book fair is free and open to the public. I highly recommend stopping in if you're a fellow book lover in Dublin!
